For me it is all about the journey and my current work in stone provides me with that something special. I make what I like and hopefully others will find pleasure or see the same issues I see. I am currently enjoying work with alabaster and marble. Life as currently experienced, along with my dreams, drives my art and the stone ends up telling me how it will be. I have some bronze work but the expense of the process dictates sitting that aside for now. My journey started with childhood on a farm in Iowa , followed by submarine service in Scotland , then college at San Jose State University . I then set out to save the world with work for the Federal, State, and local government in different capacities. I have been a bureaucrat, a community leader, a scuba diver, and a hippie in my life's journey. I got involved in the sculpture world in the mid 1990's and have not looked back. My work reflects the world you and I live in. I am part of a small local sculpture group who are in various stages of artistic growth. This group helps drive the creative spirit within me.
